Dated project examples
Lyft’s April 15, 2026 announcement describes an 80,000-square-foot Flexdrive depot in Nashville planned for fall 2026. It also discusses future secondary charging locations. We have not confirmed completion from that release. [1]
Uber said on June 17, 2026 that it had secured a 50,000-square-foot Houston depot and charging pitstop for a Lucid/Nuro program expected in mid-2027. This remains an announced program in this guide. [2]

Why neighborhood impacts belong in the plan
Hoodline’s September 2026 reporting describes proposed Culver City fleet-facility rules and a planned September 14 hearing. It also reports Santa Monica’s complaint about charging-site noise, lights and traffic. We have not independently established the court or legislative status from primary records. [3]
This guide treats that account as reporting, not settled law. It omits injunction hours, hearing outcomes and claims that proposed restrictions already apply.
For a site discussion, AV Steward suggests asking about arrival queues, lighting, overnight cleaning noise, emergency access and the responsible contact. Those questions are useful even before a specific operating plan is agreed.
What fleet buyers should ask a facility operator
Start with permitted use and the actual service scope. Then establish power availability, equipment responsibilities, site staffing, vehicle handoff, hours, access restrictions and how an unavailable charger or damaged vehicle is handled.
Ask whether capacity is operational, contracted, under construction or only proposed. Keep those counts separate. A planned charger stall is not an available charging session.
Public information without unnecessary location detail
The research includes observer-reported depot addresses and conflicting site descriptions. Those are not reproduced here. A parking photograph or social post is not enough to establish who operates a facility or what work occurs there.
