Direct answer

Fleet operations partners manage parts of the physical work behind driverless rides. Their responsibilities vary: a contract may cover facilities and vehicle upkeep while the driving system and roadside support remain with the operator. This is a source-based comparison, not a ranking or an endorsement. [1]

Moove [2]Its August 2026 announcement says Waymo operations are live in Phoenix and Miami.Company-reported operating status.
Avomo [3]Its careers site describes autonomous fleets in Austin and Atlanta and membership in Moove Cars Group. That page does not identify the fleet client. Do not infer a corporate relationship with moove.io from the similar name.
Avis Budget Group [4]July 2025 Waymo announcement: Dallas infrastructure, readiness, maintenance and depot operations.Announced scope; not a current subcontractor inventory.
Flexdrive by Lyft [5]April 2026 Nashville depot and associated service plans.Facility opening was planned for fall 2026.
Element [6]June 2026 Waymo partnership, beginning with San Diego.Announced; this source does not establish day-to-day local delivery.
Transdev [7]Its undated company page describes autonomous-mobility services and Waymo experience.Company description; per-city current scope is not independently established here.
Oro Mobility [8]Hertz’s affiliate announced support for Uber’s Lucid/Nuro Bay Area program.Autonomous launch was expected later in 2026. Its driver-led business is separate.

Read the division of responsibility

Uber’s Austin/Atlanta agreement includes cleaning, repair and depot operations, while Waymo retains roadside assistance and certain rider-support functions. A company’s role in the fleet therefore does not identify the buyer for every service. [1]

When researching a prospect, distinguish the contracting company, the fleet operator, the vehicle platform and the local facility. A parent-company announcement may not identify who purchases work at a specific depot.

Supplier channels are not contract awards

Avis Budget Group publishes a supplier page with registration and conduct information. That is a way to understand its procurement process, not evidence that a registrant will receive robotaxi work. [9]

AV Steward suggests presenting a narrow service scope, local coverage, evidence of relevant work and operational contact details. Ask how opportunities are assigned and which entity would sign and pay for the work.

We are not publishing guessed procurement emails, making introductions or submitting supplier registrations on anyone’s behalf.

What the comparison means for service businesses

Our inference is that identifying the physical-operations buyer is a more useful starting point than marketing only to riders or hypothetical private owners. It remains a hypothesis to validate with actual customers, not proof of demand or a promised sales channel.

The comparison deliberately omits fleet counts, funding totals and unverified ownership stakes. Those figures do not establish whether a particular company is buying the service you offer.

Frequently asked questions

Are Moove and Avomo the same company?

Do not infer that from their names. Avomo identifies Moove Cars Group; this comparison does not establish its corporate relationship to moove.io.

Does a named partner do every task?

No. Read the contract scope and any retained operator responsibilities.

Does the table confirm that every program is operating?

No. Each row distinguishes company claims, announced scope and the limits of the reviewed evidence.

What we don’t know yet

  • Subcontractor selection, local purchasing contacts and rates.
  • The exact current delivery scope behind every announcement.
  • Undisclosed corporate relationships or operator clients.
